Shropshire Damson Macaron Great Taste Award

Our Shropshire Damson Macaron has copped the Star! We are so proud to have been awarded a Great Taste Star in 2025, and to win our first Star with this flavour is even more special.

The damsons grow in my garden, and the tree has been part of our family for all of my life, so to be able to bring this flavour into the realms of a nationally recognised award is amazing.

This macaron features a beautiful purple and white swirl design, encasing a damson and white chocolate ganache with a damson jam centre. The fluffy fruited ganache is very unique, providing a rounded rich and tart creaminess, with a jam centre, really punching home the iconic Damson flavour.

This is now the second award our Shropshire Damson Macaron has picked up, winning Bronze in the best new product award at Ludlow Food Festival – so we have a double award-winning macaron!

To be open and honest, this has been quite a long and rather costly process. The submission fees, postage fees, ingredient trials, and more significantly errors, but to have been awarded the Star, it was all worth it.

Receiving the accreditation that the flavour was worthy enough for a Great Taste Star, breeds a significant confidence that we are doing the right thing and producing macarons to a standard we have pushed for since the start.
